This table was made completely from scratch from materials donated to the store. The Carrara marble pieces were cut from a larger slab and each edge honed to create a gentle bullnose. The base was welded from various pieces of scrap steel to create an armature that would position the two marble pieces on the same plane in a surfboard shape. Each of the legs was tapered and a thick oval foot applied to provide a spot for a felt pad. I’ve added a few process photos so you can see the progression. It measures 50” long, 18” wide and 19 1/2” tall.
